A swimmer’s success is in their hands, and coaches are a tool to help them along the way! Our goal is to build a team that understands this.
Coach: Responsible for developing training plans, motivating athletes, and holding swimmers accountable to clearly defined expectations. Here to foster a growth mindset within the team. While we seek answers and solutions, we believe in collaboration and continuous learning, knowing that we don’t have all the answers.
Swimmer: Responsible for their own success in and out of the water, coming to practice ready to work hard, learn, and embrace failure is part of the journey. Swimmers must be proactive in their development, always open to feedback, and committed to personal and team growth.
Parent: Your primary responsibility is to love and support your children. Encourage them in their efforts, but also help minimize the role of swimming in their self-definition. While swimming is important, it’s only one part of who they are. Let them grow in balance.

Understand your role within the team’s ecosystem, and recognize that everyone has the potential to be great. Stay open to feedback, embrace guidance, and be willing to grow, knowing that progress comes from a willingness to learn and adapt.
-
Stay one step ahead by understanding what’s expected of you at all times, whether in training or competition. Equally important, communicate your own expectations clearly to others, fostering accountability and mutual respect within the team.
-
Take time to evaluate both your strengths and areas for improvement. Be honest with yourself—acknowledge your talents, but also recognize where you need to grow. Keeping your ego in check allows for continuous progress.
-
Master the skills you excel in, while maintaining the humility to seek help in areas you struggle. Personal growth is not just about excelling in what you’re good at, but also about being willing to learn from others to become a more complete athlete.
